Brian has built many outstanding specialised collections, each one often covering all periods from the beginning up to our days, and in his collections he is covering most areas and aspects of Icelandic philately. This also applies to his absolutely amazing collection of Icelandic Counties “SYSLOR” Besides a number of specialised postal history collections, Brian has built a fantastic collection of all the 23 existing Icelandic “syslor” (counties). They consist of covers, old as well as modern ones, but also many cancellations on stamps, pieces and multiples, including many rare ones. In the lot descriptions, cancellations type by type, are mentioned in the order they are placed in the collections,you will notice that the numbers are “jumping” when numerals are mentioned as well as alphabetically for towns/villages.
